2010 Girl Clubs you can join:

Our "Girl Clubs" are fun to belong to because they are a way of gifting yourself with a unique new and exciting handwork project that most people don't have.   It will most likely pertain to the upcoming season or holiday.   We try to keep our projects exclusive and partner  with our favorite designers so you know you will have something that is one of a kind.  You may think that some projects seem high priced but when you think of a designer only designing for at the most 100 people she has to be paid for her time and coming up with an exclusive design that only her club members are offered.  Projects are not returnable and you make a club commitment for a year.  I hope you will find your new clubs very enjoyable and if you have not tried one I hope you will give us a call 608-588-2510.

Begins SEPTEMBER 2009 and our last shipment will be in February 2010.

We are starting a new wool club with Blackberry Primitives featuring an Exclusive Maggie Bonanomi Design called "Settler's Pride".  It will begin shipping in September, we will ship 3 of the 10 blocks at this time then in October we will ship 3 more and in November you will get the remaining 4.  The patterns and over dyed wools will all come together.  The cost of the first and second shipment will be $124.80 and the last shipment will be $166.40 for a total cost of $416.00.  This amount does not include tax or shipping costs.   What a treasure this quilt will be for any of your that love primitive, great folkart

We will take 25 members and right now we have 24 so if you want to be a part of this club you have about 2 weeks as of 8-19-09.  The last notice from Blackberry is putting the shipping right on time for the first week in September, we will have to cut each kit ourselves so with the Expo coming this probably will end up shipping mid September.

Classes begin JANUARY 9, 2010

and our first shipment has shipped.

CIVIL WAR TRIBUTE COLLECTION BY JUDIE ROTHERMEL

NEW BLOCK OF THE MONTH CLUB

This is just a computer generated picture to give you an idea of the blocks but it is very hard to really see fabric and color. I think you can trust that we don't buy fabric unless we really love it and we really love this fabric line and I'm confident you will too.  As soon as we can get a better photo up we will.  We are taking names for this new club.  I can not tell you the pricing yet but our shop kit we ordered today retails out at $380.00 and that should be very close to your price, I don't think this includes the backing but it might.

"Chessies Needfuls "

 New Girl Club!

New information:

Registration is open January 2010:

New Girl Club Begins May 2010!

Linda and I have just finished knocking out the details you will need to decide if this is a club you are totally interested in being a part of.  I think you are going to be so excited when you hear what Linda is thinking about.  We want you to have something unique and so many times Linda will use Limited edition threads and specialty linens that are not readily available in shops on your projects.  Club Members will get her Chessie Marking Pin which is so useful when counting your linen squares.

This club will ship 6 times a year and it will be a complete kit not to exceed $40.00 unless there is something that absolutely needs to be added to complete the design.  I don't think we will have to worry much about this ever happening unless like I say we have to use silks and that pushes the price over but it would probably happen only once.

Linda's designs are more traditional and are not just your ordinary stitching pattern.  You are challenged to learn to do new stitches but if you have ever taken a class from Linda you already know she is one of the best teachers out there and her patterns are diagramed and explained well.  She has perfected and can explain the easiest way to achieve the final result with any trying stitch even one over one.  I know guilds seek her out because she always gives you something special that encourages you to learn something in a new way.

I hope you will decide to give this club a chance Linda will not disappoint you and every Needful will be something very special you will enjoy stitching and owning.

2010

Stacy Nash Primitive Handwork Club

This club debuted in 2009 and oh my goodness we can not believe the response we have had this is our most popular girl club.  We have way over a hundred members. Now that is girl power!  Thank you for your confidence in us and Stacy's designs.

Here are the pictures of Our first club project that will be shipping in January 2010 we will have a total of 4 yearly offerings.  Every design is an exclusive for this club and will not be offered to anyone but a club member.  The cost should not exceed $40.00 and you will be charged shipping fees.  People in the states will pay $4.95 and the out of the country members will pay $11.95 and $12.95 depending on where we are shipping.  If you are not familiar with Stacy's primitive patterns we love them and have a good selection available to you on our shopping cart.   Your kit will include all the linen, threads and over dyed wool if needed to finish your project.  We do carry the "Putford" scissors that are pictured on her website they can be ordered for $12.00 and we also have another popular scissor Stacy shows on so many of her patterns that sells for $15.40.

***If you are interested in being a member we will always be happy to put you on a waiting list and call if there are ever any openings.

Maggie's 2010 Girl Club

"MAGGIE BONANOMI" DESIGNS
This club will consist of four designs per year that will either be geared to the season or holiday.  Maggie's designs are timeless primitive designs that can be enjoyed year after year.  Maggie always incorporates special hand-dyed wools and ribbons, unusual antique homespun and ticking fabrics even over dyed velvets just unique embellishments that make her folkart what our customers love and appreciate.  Maggie had her first book published in 2008 by the Kansas City Star called "With These Hands" and is now working on her 3rd book which is scheduled to be out by May 2010.  We can't wait!  Blackbird Designs have converted some of her folkart drawings into cross-stitch patterns and Maggie also does great workshops in rug hooking and other primitive handwork.  We have been lucky enough to have Maggie visiting us frequently because of her clubs popularity.

You can expect an array of projects ranging from pillows and pincushions to mats to framed pieces.  It has not been determined what your cost will be but depending on the size of the project I think it's safe to say $70.00 for small to medium size projects, and up to $100 if we are doing a larger project.

THANK YOU FOR THE CONFIDENCE AND SUPPORT OF MAGGIE'S' TALENTS.

55 WILL BE THE MAXIMUM NUMBER OF KITS MAGGIE CAN DO, YOU MUST REMEMBER THESE ARE EXCLUSIVE KITS.

As of 1-7-10 we have no openings.  I would like to encourage you to get yourself on our wait list as people do come and go and we can at least check with you to see if you still have interest in being part of this great girl club.  We have many new members this year so it is possible you will be called.

The picture on the left was Maggie's  first club kit for 2009.  How perfect!  This kit was priced at $56.00.

CROSS STITCHERS PRIMITIVE CLUB

This Club will ship in February 2010

We will be choosing old samplers sewing needfuls, nothing too overwhelming, from favorite NEW designers and good old designers that fit our project criteria.  We will have these stitched on the antiqued linens we love to use, some may have to be dirtied even more after your project is completed.  We will try to give some very creative framing and finishing ideas we like to use too.  I'm excited about this new club I think you will be too.  We have already picked several projects.  Only 6 projects a year.  You are seeing the first 2009 project pictured, your kits will have the finishing pieces needed to complete your project and the cost was $38.25.

PUNCH NEEDLE CLUB

Again only 6 projects and all will relate to the season or holidays that fall around the time of shipping.

Our first shipment for 2010 will be in February  It is never to late to join.

The cost of each of our punch needle projects will vary depending upon the cost of the materials and finishing if included.

"THE HOUSES OF HAWK RUN HOLLOW"

This club is for STITCHERS that love houses and like to work with linens and over dyed threads.  This club will run for at least one more full year(2009) I am working on house number 10 at this time.  This club was started in (May of 2005).  Your first shipment will consist of the first house chart, linen and threads.  I have gone over the whole chart and converted the colors to more traditional colors to support the traditional houses, you will receive all of the changes each month.  We have people still starting this project and at this time we will send everything up to the point where I am stitching.  The color changes will not be available to the public it has taken me 2 days to be satisfied with my changes and as I stitch it I find I need to make even more changes.

Your first shipment will be the most expensive since you will have the cost of the linen for the entire project, it will come packaged in one of our project bags and with your threads and over dyed thread cards to keep you organized.  I anticipate the cost of the first shipment to be about $68.00 plus shipping charges.  Your next shipments will basically be just the chart and new threads needed.

If you have been trying to decide if this is something you would enjoy and this helps you make up your mind please contact us right away so we can get you started with our club.

FYI:  2010 BLACKBIRD DESIGNS

This is the very last Loose Feathers "Winter Wonderland", we are all loving it so much so I have decided to order extra and kit them so if you would like a very exclusive design to remember this great club by this would be the one.  The kits are $47.40, done on 30ct. 18th Century brown and the design uses Weeks, Gentle Arts and Crescent Colours. You can also just buy the chart for $9.00.   I think Alma told me they had done this club for 7 years and it was just time to move on.  We will miss everyone but new things will take its place.

There is a new club brewing girlfriends and I will know more details after market. Loose Feathers will definitely be ending this year.  I always think you have to know when to get in and when to get out to keep something fresh and new and Barb and Alma do seem to have those instincts.

2010 BLACK SHEEP CLUB FOR QUILTERS

Our quilters really enjoy this club we give you the option of signing up for fat quarter samplers that are from new fabric lines or a quilt kit that will usually go along with the season.  We have some members that like to receive both and that is totally up to you.  We try to make this club exciting and again we have no sign up fees.

This club also ships 6 times a year.  Our first club project will ship in February 2010.   We do not make extra kits to sell in the shop because we want this to be a special club.  Since we never get to make the project we invite you to email us any pictures you have so we can post them on this page for potential club members to see.
