<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino; font-size: large;"> <span style="font-size: x-large;"> Y<span style="font-size: large;">ou </span></span>can also see one of our <strong>new</strong> everyday baskets.  Stit<a rel="attachment wp-att-2272" href="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/2012/02/february-212011/028-7/"><img class="alignright size-full wp-image-2272" title="028" src="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/0282.jpg" alt="" width="187" height="348" /></a>chers and Quilters this is a wonderful functional basket for you to store your fabrics or stitchery in.  It has a top and really makes a nice addition in your studio or just out in the everyday decor so you can keep your projects organized.   <strong>The cost of the covered basket is $53.75.<a rel="attachment wp-att-2278" href="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/2012/02/february-212011/033-2/"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-2278" title="033" src="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/033.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="400" /></a></strong></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino; font-size: large;"> <span style="font-size: x-large;">W</span>e also just got in more of the popular wreaths we love to use everywhere our  new Rooster is the chosen one right now.   I think you will agree he is a handsome piece of folkart and sells for $163.00.  It is fun for us girls when spring begins to get into our decor not that we have had a long winter, but if it&#8217;s not going to be winter we would rather concentrate on Spring, it&#8217;s almost March and we are ready.  There are three more new quilts coming that you will want to be sure and check out.  I like our new spring quilts because there is a nice range in size if you are rady for a bed size, a throw, something for the wall or table we have wonderful choices we can offer you.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino; font-size: large;">  <strong> </strong></span><strong><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino; font-size: large;">Enjoy the day!</span></strong></p>
<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino; font-size: large;"><span style="font-size: x-large;">E</span>nough about me.   I want to take a minute to talk about the new, <span style="font-size: x-large;">Blackbird Designs <span style="font-size: large;">book.  Alma </span></span>released the cover of there new book that I talk<a rel="attachment wp-att-2245" href="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/2012/02/february-142012/formyfriendbackcover-21/"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-2245" title="formyfriendbackcover-2[1]" src="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/formyfriendbackcover-21.jpg" alt="" width="214" height="309" /></a>ed about last week.  It is called <span style="font-size: x-large;">&#8220;For My Friend&#8221;</span>, there are 12 designs and the infamous <strong>Sugar Hearts </strong>cookie recipe is even included.  I made the cookies over the weekend.  They were yummy I even had to have one for breakfast this morning and the <strong>cookie fries </strong>look just like fries and taste great.  The whole family gives them a big thumbs up, I found the big boys especially enjoyed them.  The dough was even great to work with and tasted wonderful, if you follow the recipe you will be impressed with yourself too. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino; font-size: large;"> I am taking pre-orders on this new book release and  will be bringing it home from market on the 27th.   If you are interested please contact us. I Hope to hear from you soon.<a rel="attachment wp-att-2253" href="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/2012/02/february-142012/013-6/"><img class="alignright size-full wp-image-2253" title="013" src="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/013.jpg" alt="" width="387" height="312" /></a></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino; font-size: large;">I wanted you to see the new <span style="font-size: x-large;">&#8220;Bridgeport&#8221;</span> line of fabric from Jo Morton so I took a few pics so you can get an idea.  The colors are rich and work into many quilts you are dreaming <a rel="attachment wp-att-2254" href="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/2012/02/february-142012/014-8/"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-2254" title="014" src="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/014.jpg" alt="" width="447" height="361" /></a>of making.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino; font-size: large;">This is a picture of <span style="font-size: x-large;">&#8220;Lunch with General&#8221;</span> from <strong>Country Threads new Back to Charm School book.</strong>  This is a wonderful book that is worth owning for $24.99.  The kit to<a rel="attachment wp-att-2255" href="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/2012/02/february-142012/018-4/"><img class="alignright size-full wp-image-2255" title="018" src="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/018.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="400" /></a> do the topper up is only $21.50 and includes everything needed even your backing and binding.  The other little runner you see on top was featured a coup<a rel="attachment wp-att-2256" href="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/2012/02/february-142012/017-4/"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-2256" title="017" src="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/017.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="400" /></a>le of weeks ago and now it is all quilted and bound.   I hope a few of you got it made up to put out for Valentines Day.   </span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino; font-size: large;">I think the new topper would be a perfect summer accent  to use on your table.  Flags would be great on it if you do a 4th of July picnic.   I&#8217;m just saying!  This would be fun to get together with friends and make up too if you are longing for a bit of inst        </span></p>

<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino; font-size: large;">  A <span style="font-size: x-large;">&#8220;Quilt for Alice&#8221;</span>.  It is a new favorite, it&#8217;s so vintage looking with its soft color palette which makes it work well in most decors.  Suzanne made this  Bonnie Blue pattern up for us.   I thought our spatterware bowlslooked pretty swell with it too and do take notice of our new <span style="font-size: x-large;">&#8220;Tin Horse&#8221;.  </span>We ordered him a<a rel="attachment wp-att-2226" href="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/2012/02/february-82012/007-10/"><img class="alignright size-full wp-image-2226" title="007" src="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/007.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="400" /></a>t market and last week I opened my new Sundance catalog and there he was for $35.00 the very same horse we sell for $29.00.  So pick us, we are on that cutting edge too and at a great price point.  He&#8217;s handsome and so prim and a great addition for your decor.  Selma and I loved his color too and don&#8217;t you think he goes well with Alice?</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino; font-size: large;">I am putting a picture up of our H<a rel="attachment wp-att-2227" href="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/2012/02/february-82012/008-13/"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-2227" title="008" src="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/008.jpg" alt="" width="385" height="313" /></a>ibiscus jars.  For $11.95 you will be applauded when your guests are served this treat. It&#8217;s not only tasty but oh so pretty too.   There are many great serving ideas for using the Hibiscus Flowers so this is not just for using in champagne, think margaritas, salad, bruschetta, and for desert to name a few. What an awesome hostess gift if you get invited out to a Valentine party. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino; font-size: large;">Next I wanted to give you anot<a rel="attachment wp-att-2233" href="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/2012/02/february-82012/009-12/"><img class="alignright size-full wp-image-2233" title="009" src="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/009.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="400" /></a>her look at our new <span style="font-size: x-large;">&#8220;Plain &amp; Fancy&#8221; </span>quilt Selma made up from Barbara Brackmans new &#8220;Morris&#8221; fabrics.  It is lucious and a fun addition going into spring.  Wait until we put out the rabbits  <strong>this quilt  looks like Easter </strong>and even the Morris fabric has rabbits on it.  It&#8217;s a perfect choice!  The days are already ticking by, March will be here before we know it.   </span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino; font-size: large;">We are still loving those Railroad Lanterns hanging inside or out or just sitting on a table <a rel="attachment wp-att-2234" href="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/2012/02/february-82012/005-10/"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-2234" title="005" src="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/005.jpg" alt="" width="445" height="355" /></a>with a candle.    &#8221;Pure and Simple&#8221; is the other quilt you can see on the left and we do have just a few of these kits left before we think about trying it again. You wil definitely see a patriotic theme coming for summer as we prepare for our Grand Old Flag Event this coming June.  The new wooden flag you can see comes in two sizes, it is wood, comes from Canada and easy to display.  The lagrge flag you see is $88.00 and the small version is$44.00.  Our Tin Rooster is still a wonderful primitive display item and I can&#8217;t wait for you to see some more new tinware we have arriving just in time for spring.  I think you can begin to get the idea.   Vickie and I were screaming today because we can begin to see it all coming together.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino; font-size: large;"> I am going to direct you to our girl Club page so you can see our new Stacy Nash club offering.  It is so awesome and we love the the tone on tone colors.  This is going to be a new favorite.  There is still time to get into the club and receive this new project.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino; font-size: large;"><span style="font-size: x-large;">W</span>e just got St<a rel="attachment wp-att-2201" href="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/2012/01/january-252012/004-18/"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-2201" title="004" src="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/0042.jpg" alt="" width="236" height="364" /></a>acy&#8217;s<span style="font-size: x-large;"><strong> &#8220;Mary Burdus</strong></span>&#8221; back from our stitcher and framer.  It is a great old schoolgirl exampler that can go anywhere but especially nice when displayed with other antiques.  Have a look! </span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino; font-size: large;"> Our stitcher also sent us Stacy&#8217;s <span style="font-size: x-large;"> &#8221;Malabar Farm&#8221;</span>  I love it too, its aged and stuffed with sawdust just the way Stacy has taught us to do.  This is a great prim stitch if you are looking for a new project.   If you are a fan of Stacy Nash Primitives our  new 2012 Stacy Club will be shipping next week.  It is never too late to join this exclusive club that ships only 4 times a year.  I haven&#8217;t seen the auto but I know our first project is going to be for Valentines Day.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino; font-size: large;"><span style="font-size: x-large;"><span style="font-size: large;">Now for the highlight of our trip to Atlanta.  We were able to sit in on the Dean Brothers special cooking event.  Here are  Jamie and Bobbie Dean they were so entertaining and fun to listen to.  They never forget Mama either which a great trait.  We were thrilled to see them up close because there were at least 300 other people maybe even more there for the event.   </span></span></span><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino;"><span style="font-size: x-large;">w</span></span><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino; font-size: large;"><span style="font-size: x-large;"><span style="font-size: large;">e were able to encoporate a  little time for play because you can only look at so much stuff at one time and then y<a rel="attachment wp-att-2137" href="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/2012/01/january-182012/attachment/138/"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-2137" title="138" src="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/138.jpg" alt="" width="373" height="323" /></a>ou need a break.   My Guess is if I had these two over for tea we would have an event no one would ever forget.   We also managed to squeeze in the new movie Iron Lady, the Margaret Thatcher story with Meryl Streep.  It was very good.  </span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino; font-size: large;"><span style="font-size: x-large;"><span style="font-size: large;">Another item you might want to think about for Valentine&#8217;s Day is our <strong>New Red Hot Candle </strong>jars.  We also have what is called <strong>Primitive Blend </strong>and we are all loving this one as well.  The jars sell for $16.95 and are festive and make great gifts for a hostess or best friend. </span></span></span></p>

<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino; font-size: large;">I&#8217;m still enjoying my paperwhites, it isn&#8217;t too late to start yours.  It&#8217;s refreshing<a rel="attachment wp-att-2043" href="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/2012/01/january-4-2011/009-10/"><img class="alignright size-full wp-image-2043" title="009" src="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/009.jpg" alt="" width="240" height="352" /></a> and so  much fun to wake up and be greeted by the fragrant white flowers blooming on my kitchen windowsil.  Happy New Year!</span></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino; font-size: large;">I have started transforming the shop into its winter mode.  I have to say as much as we all enjoyed Christmas this past year everyone in the shop is ready for a change.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino; font-size: large;">In my newsletter this w<a rel="attachment wp-att-2048" href="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/2012/01/january-4-2011/011-8/"></a>eek I mentioned several quilts that we did not actively market because we could see t<a rel="attachment wp-att-2050" href="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/2012/01/january-4-2011/018-3/"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-2050" title="018" src="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/018.jpg" alt="" width="435" height="338" /></a>hey bridged the gap into winter.   Vickie designed two incredible quilts for the holidays <strong>&#8220;Windmills Over the Prairie&#8221; and Remember Me&#8221; </strong>which I have just dressed our bed in<strong>.  </strong>The one thing you will come to realize is when we create a holiday line of quilts they are going to be <a rel="attachment wp-att-2049" href="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/2012/01/january-4-2011/019-4/"></a>classic, never scream holiday because we like to think a quilt is something you can use more than a few weeks out of the year.   We do pay atten<a rel="attachment wp-att-2051" href="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/2012/01/january-4-2011/010-5/"><img class="alignright size-full wp-image-2051" title="010" src="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/010.jpg" alt="" width="372" height="335" /></a>tion to color but very seldom do we get out of the box unless we find a pretty adorable whimsical or primitive pattern that still fits our recognizable style.     The quilt you are seeing hanging to the right of the bed is called <strong>&#8220;Farmhouse Christmas</strong>&#8220;.  We used some very unique specialty Moda French General fabrics, Japanese wovens and prints to create this quilt.  The interesting thing is we have done quilts like this but this time we added a twist we included blocks that were pieced and ad<a rel="attachment wp-att-2052" href="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/2012/01/january-4-2011/014-6/"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-2052" title="014" src="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/014.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="400" /></a>ded a border that used 2 different coordinating fabrics to add another dimension. The colors are lighter and could be a wonderful addition in a contempory or even primitive home decor.   The next quilt you can see is called <strong>&#8220;Dancing With The Stars&#8221; </strong>this is a classic red and cream colored quilt but we had to </span></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino; font-size: large;"><a rel="attachment wp-att-2053" href="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/2012/01/january-4-2011/013-5/"><img class="alignright size-full wp-image-2053" title="013" src="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/013.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="400" /></a></span><span style="font-size: large;"><a rel="attachment wp-att-2053" href="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/2012/01/january-4-2011/013-5/"></a></span><span style="font-size: large;"><a rel="attachment wp-att-2053" href="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/2012/01/january-4-2011/013-5/"></a></span></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: large;">add a few touches of our favorite grey color just because.   These quilts are great color choices for the season. You can also see Christmas Baby Beth.  The reds used in this quilt would be a perfect choice for Valentines Day. </span> </p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino; font-size: large;">You will also notice in my favorite <strong>&#8220;Star Pillows&#8221; displayed on the bed</strong>.  We have them kitted for $14.00 and the kit is made up to do the three pillows you are seeing.  These were designed from antique pillows I own and can never seem to put away.  </span></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino; font-size: large;">I just set up a winter table scape with our beautiful white dishes and vintage collectible silver plated table settings.  The  five piece table settings can be purchased for $27.50 and each piece is different, nothing matches, which adds completes the over all vintage table </span><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino; font-size: large;">presentation.  I was picturing this in my mind last evening and I knew I wanted to use our <strong>&#8220;Beasley</strong>&#8221; quilt for the table toppe<a rel="attachment wp-att-2060" href="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/2012/01/january-4-2011/001-16/"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-2060" title="001" src="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/001.jpg" alt="" width="352" height="423" /></a>r.  It is a grand way to do up lunch with some of your best friends.  The soup dishes make me want to go home and make some of my favorite soups.  I can&#8217;t thin<a rel="attachment wp-att-2061" href="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/2012/01/january-4-2011/003-14/"><img class="alignright size-full wp-image-2061" title="003" src="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/003.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="400" /></a>k of anything more comforting.  I even kept out our snow covered lit trees. This may be as close to snow as we see this winter and keeps things a little festive.   </span></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino; font-size: large;">Have you had time to think about hearts?  We have!   I have wanted to make up Maggie&#8217;s <strong>&#8220;Old Heart Pin Keep&#8221; </strong>which is in the <strong>Buttonwood Farm Book </strong>since it came out.   Of course its done our way with wools the complement the holiday and our little cream colored <strong>Folk Angel </strong>is loving it. <a rel="attachment wp-att-2064" href="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/2012/01/january-4-2011/010-6/"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-2064" title="010" src="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/0101.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="400" /></a> It looks like it belongs in her hand for sure. <strong> The Heart Pinkeep kits are $10.95 and our little FolkAngel sells</strong></span><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino; font-size: large;"><strong> <a rel="attachment wp-att-2065" href="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/2012/01/january-4-2011/008-10/"><img class="alignright size-full wp-image-2065" title="008" src="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/008.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="400" /></a>for $68.00.  </strong></span></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino; font-size: large;"> I even think it looks pretty special hanging on our little vintage vanity.  The vanitys will be coming back into the shop by February they sold out so fast  last year.  I think this will look great hanging on a cupboard knob too.  Here is a close up so you can see our color choices and decide if you might want to make at least two.</span><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino; font-size: large;"> </span></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino; font-size: large;">We are so excited over Jo Morton&#8217;s &#8216;Variety&#8217; fabric in the red and creams.  We sent the fat quarter packs out for Black Sheep and I think now is the time you might just be looking for these colors.  What a wonderful Valentine project <a rel="attachment wp-att-2077" href="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/2012/01/january-4-2011/008-11/"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-2077" title="008" src="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/0081.jpg" alt="" width="474" height="366" /></a>these fabrics could make.  The fabric is $11.00 per yard. </span></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino; font-size: large;"> We have 6 fat quarters<a rel="attachment wp-att-2078" href="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/2012/01/january-4-2011/010-7/"><img class="alignright size-full wp-image-2078" title="010" src="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/0102.jpg" alt="" width="320" height="299" /></a> of lights and darks packaged for $18.00 per pack.  These are wonderful old prints and are some of our favorites.</span><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino; font-size: large;">  </span></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino; font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino; font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino; font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino; font-size: large;"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-2079" title="014" src="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/0141.jpg" alt="" width="386" height="367" /></span></span></span>I thought you might like to see them up close and personal. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino; font-size: large;">You can also see in the background of this picture our <strong>&#8220;Christmas Star Quilt&#8221; hanging over the back of the chair in the window,</strong> we introduced this quilt at at open house too.  This has been a great quilt, just the right size measuring 48 x 56 and selling for $64.00.  Pattern sold seperately at $8.50.   As you can see and as we should be we are kind of into red.  <a rel="attachment wp-att-2096" href="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/2012/01/january-4-2011/attachment/085/"><img class="alignright size-full wp-image-2096" title="085" src="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/085.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="400" /></a></span></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino; font-size: large;">I want to share one <a rel="attachment wp-att-2095" href="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/2012/01/january-4-2011/attachment/084/"></a>more little idea.   This little quilt could be used as a table topper but the pattern calls it a<strong>&#8221; One Patch Doll Quilt&#8221;.   </strong></span><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino; font-size: large;">It ends up being 25 1/2  inches by 25<a rel="attachment wp-att-2084" href="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/2012/01/january-4-2011/037-2/"></a> 1/2 inches.  We used some beautiful colors that I thought would really set off a container of fresh paperwhites or a compote with greens.  The pattern is in the Civil War Sewing Circle and the kit is only $26.00.  We even used a great woven Japanese fabric for the inner border.  </span></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino; font-size: large;">Embrace Winter!</span></p>

<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino; font-size: large;">I told you I would share the family Christmas tree when I got it decorated and a little tour of the house.  My web program has been giving me fits and not working but today Gwen figured a way around the problem so I could get this finally done. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua,palatino; font-size: large;"> Here are some pict<a rel="attachment wp-att-1953" href="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/2011/12/december-15-2011/mirror-2/"></a>ures of my house this Christmas , I&#8217;m still futsing with th<a rel="attachment wp-att-1949" href="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/2011/12/december-15-2011/cupboard/"></a>e trees and lights outside, I haven&#8217;t quite got the concept I invisioned but<a rel="attachment wp-att-1956" href="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/2011/12/december-15-2011/my-dining-room/"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-1956" title="my-dining-room" src="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/my-dining-room.gif" alt="" width="250" height="188" /></a> by Christmas I will, our friend John brought me some Cedars tops to<a rel="attachment wp-att-1948" href="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/2011/12/december-15-2011/folkart/"></a>day to work into the frey so by Saturday I will get it figured out. <a rel="attachment wp-att-1954" href="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/2011/12/december-15-2011/2012-christmas-tree/"><img class="alignright size-full wp-image-1954" title="2012-Christmas-Tree" src="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/2012-Christmas-Tree.gif" alt="" width="328" height="222" /></a></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino; font-size: large;"> The pics will follow a path from the front door through to the dining room and finally get to the family tree.  I am trying to enjoy it a wee bit every night because it really is a pretty grand tree.    You<a rel="attachment wp-att-1959" href="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/2011/12/december-15-2011/home-my-santas-2/"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-1959" title="home-my-santas" src="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/home-my-santas1.gif" alt="" width="250" height="188" /></a> have to see the ornament Vickie made for all of girls this year.  It is an snow girl and Suzanne made us the most wonderful paper <a rel="attachment wp-att-1960" href="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/2011/12/december-15-2011/vickies-ornament/"><img class="alignright size-full wp-image-1960" title="Vickies-ornament" src="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/Vickies-ornament.gif" alt="" width="250" height="333" /></a>wings some of us gave out snow girls wings. I have to say the Christmas we girls share with each other is always by far the best because we all know each other so well. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino; font-size: large;">The greatest gift of all is that we all get to be little girls again, share the excitement of the season and enjoy just being altogether.  </span></p>

<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino; font-size: large;"> <span style="font-size: x-large;">I</span>f you love a snow day too you might just want to have this new <strong>Stacy Nash Sampler </strong>on hand to stitch.  <span style="font-size: x-large;">&#8220;Mary Burdus&#8221;</span> is a wonderful Schoolgirl Sampler dating back to 1828 when Mary was just seven years old.  It is a great primitive sampler done up in my favorite color black except for a capit<a rel="attachment wp-att-1855" href="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/2011/12/1847/pat-christmastide-21/"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-1855" title="pat-christmastide-2[1]" src="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/pat-christmastide-21.jpg" alt="" width="450" height="338" /></a>al M she stitched in another color.  This can be done in any favorite color.  I invite you to take a look.  The chart is $14.00.</span></p>

<span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino; font-size: large;"> </span><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino; font-size: large;"> Today I want to share some ideas  with you for table scape presentation, to show you choices and ways to use our classic and traditional holiday gear.  This year we have some incredible pieces that are stunning and make a table scape a visual that can not be ignored.  </span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino; font-size: large;"> <span style="font-size: x-large;">O</span>ur <span style="font-size: x-large;">&#8220;Turkey Pair&#8221; </span>has been one of the most incredible pieces Selma and I found at market last January.  We were in love with them from the time we laid  our eyes on them but they were pricey.  The more we looked at them the more we knew it was one of those items that just fit us and our customers that are looking for  something extraordinary.   </span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino; font-size: large;"> This pair is timeless and can be enjoyed through out the year.  The pair retails for $212.00.  I love them on the table, I used our juniper garland from the shop and the small tinsel wreaths around my antique candle hol<a rel="attachment wp-att-1800" href="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/2011/11/its-that-time-of-year/attachment/025/"><img class="alignright size-full wp-image-1800" title="025" src="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/025.jpg" alt="" width="436" height="335" /></a>ders.  </span><span style="font-family: book antiqua, palatino; font-size: large;">  <span style="font-size: x-large;">N</span>ext I wanted to try them out on my mantel so here is another idea.  </span><span style="font-size: large;"> </span><span style="font-size: large;">This will be there home this holiday season.  I just had to put a small wreath around the males neck.  It is festive and just commands your attention.  </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: large;">The next best item  from market was our remote candles.  I&#8217;m telling you these are genius, it&#8217;s so easy to hit the button and everything goes off or on or you can even set these candles to glow for 2-8 hours and then go off on there own.  We have all sizes and they are just about the </span><span style="font-size: large;">best thing since sliced bread.  You can see them amongst my juniper garland on the mantel but I will give you some other visuals too.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-size: x-large;">T</span>he largest candle we have fits perfectly into our large tin<a rel="attachment wp-att-1801" href="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/2011/11/its-that-time-of-year/006-12/"></a>sel wreath and how elegant that looks.   We have  these <span style="font-size: x-large;">&#8220;Tinsel Wreaths&#8221; <span style="font-size: large;">in </span></span>3 different sizes.  Take notice of how great the tiny wreaths look on my dinning light, I used them on the candela<a rel="attachment wp-att-1804" href="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/2011/11/its-that-time-of-year/006-13/"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-1804" title="006" src="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/0061.jpg" alt="" width="367" height="339" /></a>bras we are showing this season too and we also have a great mercury glass holder that fits them and really makes an affordable hostess gift for only $10.00.  The small wreaths alone are $3.00, the medium size wreath is $8.95 and the large wreath is $12.95.  Resonably priced, elegant and they look great in a primitive setting.  It&#8217;s just another good thing. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: large;"> I took this candle idea just one step further and I  displayed it on our <span style="font-size: x-large;">&#8220;Tin Risers</span>&#8220;.  These risers are round, have a great design etched into the tin  that makes them stand out in your display.    They are sold  in a set of three for $118.50.  Ladies this is a great way to add h<a rel="attachment wp-att-1803" href="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/2011/11/its-that-time-of-year/014-5/"><img class="alignright size-full wp-image-1803" title="014" src="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/014.jpg" alt="" width="252" height="307" /></a>eight, I have used them in the shop but at home I like them with my Santas and candles.    Not only can you use the risers for display but think about using them for serving, how special this could be.   I love a great display piece that can<a rel="attachment wp-att-1805" href="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/2011/11/its-that-time-of-year/020-6/"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-1805" title="020" src="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/0203.jpg" alt="" width="396" height="345" /></a> be used in a multitude of ways.   The next photo shows you how to use the tiny tinsel wreaths on our <span style="font-size: x-large;">Candelabras <span style="font-size: large;">we have been showing this year and I love how they dress up my dinning table light.  The Candelabras come in a  round shape and they come in a old gray color that looks so primitive.   We also sell an oval shape that comes in an old  ivory.   They are both good choieces for $70.00.  I  used the juniper garland and a large ivory satin ribbon to wined through them.  On the ivory oval I used two of our medium tinsel wreaths to fill in the tray bottom and then added the ivory ribbon.  It makes a very classy table scape.</span></span></span></p>
<p><a rel="attachment wp-att-1806" href="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/2011/11/its-that-time-of-year/005-7/"><img class="alignright size-full wp-image-1806" title="005" src="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/005.jpg" alt="" width="301" height="307" /></a><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-size: x-large;"><span style="font-size: large;">Going back to the tin risers I have been telling you about, here is a photo of how our Vintage Belsnickels look in a vignette in my home.   We have so many neat sizes and styles this year and still have a good selection in the shop.   The prices range from $24.00 &#8211; $45.00.  The new  Vintage glittered Santas are new and very classy looking. </span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-size: x-large;"><span style="font-size: large;">  <span style="font-size: x-large;">A</span>nother very neat thing we found this year was an old tin bucket with a leather strap and the bucket was filled with realist<a rel="attachment wp-att-1816" href="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/2011/11/its-that-time-of-year/031-3/"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-1816" title="031" src="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/0312.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="400" /></a>ic looking Snowdrops.  I will hang mine on  my French door handle and this <a rel="attachment wp-att-1808" href="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/2011/11/its-that-time-of-year/022-3/"></a>will be a welcoming sight all winter.   I have a close up of the Snowdrops so you can really get a feel for how they look.  The Snowdrops are made of silk.  This would be a lovely g<a rel="attachment wp-att-1817" href="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/2011/11/its-that-time-of-year/022-4/"><img class="alignright size-full wp-image-1817" title="022" src="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/0222.jpg" alt="" width="251" height="379" /></a>ift for someone that has everything but a green thumb and a constant reminder of spring.  The snowdrops retails for $77.50. </span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-size: x-large;"><span style="font-size: large;"> </span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-size: x-large;"><span style="font-size: large;"> </span></span></span><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-size: x-large;"><span style="font-size: large;">I am going to show you another picture of the remote candles set up on the table this time and tinsel wreaths and g<span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-size: x-large;"><span style="font-size: large;"><a rel="attachment wp-att-1810" href="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/2011/11/its-that-time-of-year/016-3/"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-1810" title="016" src="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/0161.jpg" alt="" width="318" height="233" /></a></span></span></span>arland on my windowsills.  Simple Elegance!  This is the start to my decorat<a rel="attachment wp-att-1809" href="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/2011/11/its-that-time-of-year/012-4/"></a>ing and I hope you might feel inspired by our holiday offerings this season.     By the way the candles are ivory not yellow as they appear  in this photo it must be the person behind the camera, wh<a rel="attachment wp-att-1811" href="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/2011/11/its-that-time-of-year/028-4/"><img class="alignright size-full wp-image-1811" title="028" src="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/0281.jpg" alt="" width="394" height="350" /></a>o knows!  </span></span></span><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-size: x-large;"><span style="font-size: large;">   </span></span></span><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-size: x-large;"><span style="font-size: large;">It is fun to see how just a simple piece  added to you arangements can totally change your whole decor.  It is magic and we love being a part of that for you.    I will continue updating you on how the decorating is coming along at my house.  We love it that our customers share pics there with us on how they are using our unique items in there holiday houses.</span></span></span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-size: x-large;"><span style="font-size: large;">Next item that I can&#8217;t wait to tell you about is &#8220;<span style="font-size: x-large;">Blackbird Designs&#8221; <span style="font-size: large;">two</span></span> new patterns.    You are going to flip out over these.   I have known that a CHristmas sampler was in the works but I hadn&#8217;t seen even a glympse until today.  OMG!  The book is called <span style="font-size: x-large;">&#8220;Christmas Garden&#8221;</span> and it is one of the most incredible samplers for the season that I have seen for awhile.  The leaflet/book also has two other projects and sells for $16.00.  It is done up on 30 <a rel="attachment wp-att-1812" href="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/2011/11/its-that-time-of-year/wintergardencover1/"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-1812" title="wintergardencover[1]" src="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/wintergardencover1.jpg" alt="" width="337" height="369" /></a>ct. R&amp;R Sheep Straw linen and uses only four colors, two Crescent and two Gentle Arts but a total of 16 threads of these 4 colors are needed.  The sampler measures 18 1/4&#8243; by 25&#8243; so you will have to have a 1/2 yard of linen but the good thing about this is the next new pattern <span style="font-size: x-large;">&#8220;Crowning the Tree&#8221;</span>  uses the sam<a rel="attachment wp-att-1831" href="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/2011/11/its-that-time-of-year/crownthetreecover1-11/"><img class="alignright size-full wp-image-1831" title="crownthetreecover1-1[1]" src="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/crownthetreecover1-11.jpg" alt="" width="211" height="320" /></a>e linen and same count so you are going to already have the linen that is needed for this project.    The kit complete will run approximately $92.80.   I have enough linen ordered for 30 kits so if you are interested we anticipate we will be shipping this complete by the end of next week please give us a call and get yours reserved. </span></span></span><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-size: x-large;"><span style="font-size: large;"> If you have some down time with the holidays this will be a project you will not want to pass on.    </span></span></span></p>

<p><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-size: x-large;"><span style="font-size: large;">We are all in love with the block letters because we take our antiqued tags we make in the shop a<a rel="attachment wp-att-1828" href="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/2011/11/its-that-time-of-year/035-2/"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-1828" title="035" src="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/0351.jpg" alt="" width="329" height="336" /></a>nd we can write our own message.    Another thing we like is the antique papers Holiday Gift Wrap.   It is special and would be only used  for your primitive loving friends.  It has some of the same images we have framed in the shop only on a lot smaller scale.  The old paper artist wrap is $7.50 for for a 36&#8243; x 24&#8243; sheet .  </span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-size: x-large;"><span style="font-size: large;">Isn&#8217;t this fun?  I hope you have enjoyed this post I have tried to include some of our items I know I haven&#8217;t told you about and you may not have seen in any of the pictures. and will continue doing this for the next few weeks.</span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-size: x-large;"><span style="font-size: large;">The Artists <span style="font-size: x-large;">Holiday Paper Dolls </span><a></a>are  some of my favorites.   They are<a rel="attachment wp-att-1836" href="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/2011/11/its-that-time-of-year/003-10/"><img class="alignright size-full wp-image-1836" title="003" src="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/003.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="400" /></a> so primitive looking<a></a> and I like to stuff mine with our favortie cotton batting which sells for $8.95 a bag. Where ever you decide to put them I know you will enjoy them.  I have several and use t<a rel="attachment wp-att-1837" href="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/2011/11/its-that-time-of-year/004-14/"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-1837" title="004" src="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/0041.jpg" alt="" width="216" height="362" /></a>hem all over the house.  They are priced at $12.00 and the papers you can frame are $5.00.   They also look really great with our German Twig trees.  This is another thing I find I can&#8217;t live without.  The German trees are just made to look great with tiny white lights, mercury glass ornaments and I even use old primitives angels on mine it just depends on the year it is never the same at my house.   Remember we sell these trees and they range in size from 3ft. &#8211; 8 ft. and there is still time to ship them in time for Christmas.   <span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-size: x-large;"><span style="font-size: large;"><a rel="attachment wp-att-1840" href="http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/2011/11/its-that-time-of-year/006-14/"></a></span></span></span></span></span></span></p>
