Summer Vacation Projects!

We are feeling the pressure of fall in the air and even though it is still July it won’t be after this week .  It is hard to believe it is getting to be 019that time.   I have noticed it is getting darker earlier as our day light is diminishing by two minutes every day.  That brings me to the fact we are about to start getting in a whole lot of new fabric so its time to give our valued customers some really great summer specials.  There are still a few weeks to get some summer sewing in.

Our beautiful Moda Basic Grey “Little Black Dress 2 has been such a wonderful line full of great neutral colors.  We have an abundance of JELLY ROLLS!  A jelly roll is a 2 1/2 inch strip and the roll is made up from the entire collection to equal 2 1/4 yards.  This norm022ally sells for $40.00 we are having a special this week and offering the rolls to you until they are gone for only $28.00.

Next GREAT idea is Selma’s “Galloping Goose” quilt.  This is such a stunning quilt it measures 66″ square and there are only 2 kits left in the shop so I’m hoping to find two lucky people that would love to make up this great quilt and give it a a good home.  The original price was $153.00 BUT  it is now available for $107.00, that beautiful border fabric everyone wants and all the rest of the fabric choices make this a very sweet deal.

One of my very favorite quilts of all time was our Roadtrip quilt called “Abigail”s 4-Patch”.   The size is great as it measures 72″ x 72″  and the colors are good year round even at Christmas!  It has to be a good quilt when it works into the decor any time of the year. Classic and traditional always works.  Abigail was priced at $102142.00 and NOW it can be your special quilt for $99.00.

“The Angels Sing” is a quilt we introduced last year, the fabric we based it on was like old sheet music thus our name for the quilt.   We kept our palette  in soft neutral colors so it could work into most decors but look really great during the holiday season.  The pattern we used came out of the Spotlight on Neutrals book by Pat Wys which remains a very popular book.013  This quilt measures out at 69″ x  92″ and looks tremendous on the bed.  It originally sold for $112.00 but can be yours for $78.00.  This is a classic log cabin pattern.

I hope you can remember our “Cat Magic” pattern we made for the Expo.  Very stylized and ours did not say Happy Halloween but the pattern does and you have enough fabric if you choose to make it that way.  It is a good size for the season measuring 56″ x 56″. The cost was $84.00018 but its a sizzling hot special this summer priced at $66.00.

The last kit we have for you is really a sweet topper.  Vickie designed this pattern and again its neutral so it works pretty much through out the year by just accessorizing it accordingly for the new season.

“A Touch of Spring” is the name of this next pattern.  It is 38″ x 38″ and that my friends is a great size to work with020.  It’s not too small and things look quite beautiful sitting on it and that is because of the soft neutral colors Vickie chose .  I can see it with a basket of bittersweet and Indian corn in the fall and  fresh boughs o greens and berries at  Christmas time.  The cost was $52.00 but is now priced right at only $36.40.  I know you will love piecing this and the size is right to get finished just in time to enjoy using it on your own table or even as a gift.

We have at least 4 of our great “Star Spangled Quilt” kits left from 2012.

This is a beautiful quilt and Vickie used our favorite Blackbird Designs Blueberry Crumb Cake fabric.   This quilt measures 74″x 74″  it’s a great size.  If you remember this line, it had the most wonderful and popular background sampler fabric, this kit has 3 1/4 yards in it.  If you did not like the quilt pattern this is going to be a great buy for just the fabrics.  The original kit was $188.65 and NOW you can purchase this kit for $130.00.   A variation of blue, tan and cream make this pattern dance.  The patterns are sold separately for $10.00.

Now  if you love the holidays like we do and you love traditional holiday colors you are going to want to m010ake Selma’s pattern “Sophie’s Gift”.  It is designed from an old antique quilt Selma and I saw at one of the showrooms at gift market.  She knew when she saw it that it was going to make a perfect quilt for one of her granddaughters.  It measures 70″ x 70″, the original kit was priced out at $120.00 and today you can purchase the kit for $84.00.

It is a perfect time to start thinking about fall and this little quilt project can be re012ady for the season by the time the leaves turn.  If you are looking for a quick quilt that is perfect for fall we have a  designer panel from Blackbird Designs that we chose some coordinates from the line and created “Natures Basket” which is a great cover up that measures 56″ x 56″.  The original cost was $71.50 and today we have it kitted with instructions for $50.00.  Yikes!

I am still house cleaning and just happened to find another kit we need to offer this week.  I like the idea of giving you a few good Christmas ideas in July because if you have the time to get started chances are it will be ready when Christmas rolls around.  Th007is was one of Vickie’s new patterns last Christmas.  It is called “Aunt Virginia”.  It is 68″ x 85″ another good sized quilt to use on your bed.  The original price for this kit was $115.00.  This week you can have it for only $80.00.  I think this is a beauty you might not want to miss out on.  It is an Irish Chain pattern and uses French General prints that bring the design to life.  It is a very festive heirloom quilt you and your family will enjoy for years.
