It Gives Me Great Pleasure to Spread the Joy!!!

“Ooh La La” book $28.00

Spreading the Joy March 5, 2019

March signals our brains to begin thinking Spring, the bulb catalogs fill our mailbox daily and Reed thinks of furiously planting more beauty for us to love.  I have to tell you driving back from market the sky and the small pond lakes were covered with white seagulls.  It reminded me of the swans from the Notebook but seeing them flying willy nilly and the sky full of them in formation I felt like spring will come.  Maybe sooner than later.

Petit Examplair sewing Bag, Le Poulet Pincushion, and Mon Petit Examplair all in Ohh la la the greatest 48 page book.

Our amazing designers have empowered my passion for the craft and given me great confidence as I share and spread the joy and my invigorated and renewed energy for beautiful samplers and smalls that are functional and so easy to love from our wonderful market.  Peeps time to get crazy with me!

I am going to begin with Blackbird Designs.  These two girls have the art of presentation down pat to even playing the best French music in the background.     You all know me, I am excitable and I don’t hold back when I’m in love, this was just a small part of my crazy .  Barb and Alma have come out with 3 of the most amazing books I have ever seen.  I feel there is not one that you would not want to own.

“OOH La La” “Samplers and Projects with French Flair”  is a book using alot of the French reds but not  overpowering reds it’s red that works.  I know we will be stitching up the Petit Examplair Sewing Bag it is stitched on 32 ct. legacy and so many more.

We will send you a free “Eiffel Tower” to stitch with every Ooh La La book you purchase.  You know you will have to have one of these.

Friends are the best and “Our Lasting Friendship” is a great new book celebrating your closest dearest besties.  The sampler and smalls are priceless.  Cost $18.00.

The last but by no means least book is called “The Bells on Christmas Day”.  Another design book that is more than worth the $20.00 cost with all of the wonderful designs.  The peace on Earth Sampler is so amazing, I love the Wild and Sweet needlebook, the Peace pincushion and the amazing little Friendships gathering thimble bag.    we have almost all of the linens required and will be kitting for your convenience.

Next bit of news is Loose Feathers will be starting in April and will be a series of baskets this year.  If you are registered we will continue you in our club until you inform us different and will also begin taking new members.  Registration is open.

New Animal Cracker “Jenny” cost $12.00 for the pattern and we kit.

Meet “Peroy”! Best little slug in the neighborhood

Well after Blackbird Designs I  thought I needed to get myself in control but  my next stop was Stacy’s room.  OMG. I need help.

This girl is another amazing talent and I wanted it all!!!   I can’t wait to get her new cracker and crumb stitched.  I told myself I did not need a slug, wrong, I fell in love with “Peroy” and Little “Jenny”.  Peeps Peroy is even wearing a bowtie.  I have no will power!   Lucky for all of you, I think you will love it all too.

The “Harriet Brown Redwork Sampler Pinkeep is another great idea.  I really love this pinkeep and the idea of pinning the red strawberry waxer to it.  “Frosting” !  The Red  Strawberry waxers are sold with a beautiful ribbon so you can either wear or pin your waxer onto your pinkeep.  Waxers are $14.00.  We also have Raspberries.  Loving them all and Taylor makes these for mom.   The red used in the pinkeep is Old red Paint.

I kind of think you might want the “Alice Harding Meakins 1824  Treasure Box and Needle Keep” to keep your treasures in.  We have a limited amount of these amazing Ooh la la boxes, and it even comes with a needle minder so

Treasure Box and Red Strawberry waxer

don’t miss the opportunity to get your own.  The cost of the box is $48.00 but this folks is a fine treasure box you will honestly treasure.

Stacy will be starting her New Club with us in April.  You need to sign up since she did not do this club last year.  Registration is open.

It’s time for a New Drum, “The Dark Horse Pinkeep” Drum is a such a great choice, loving the house and berries on top.  This is going to be a hard choice to pass as it is just so  much fun.

I also could not resist the “1806 Manor House Sewing Roll”  Not only great on the front it is equally as swell on the backside. Houses. great border, a little girl, urn, it has it all.

Next:  I have to show you Chessie and Me’s great reproduction Samplers and amazing smalls.  Linda is so good with her reproduction Samplers.  This is “Martha Davies 1830 Sampler.  The cost of the pattern is $20.00.

Sarah’s Basket

Martha is stitched on 36 count Meadow Rue.  What  a great sampler to love and FYI she has released “Sara Casey Unwin”  at market too. This chart is $24.00.   So you have two great reproduction sampler stitches to think about.  Sarah Casey was our  Stitch Along in 2018.  There is a new one in the wind so keep your eyes pealed to the website for details which we will release as soon as Linda is ready.

I am really excited over “Sarah’s Basket” Pinkeep.  This just happens to go with the sampler but please realize Linda has changed up the design and the linen used is Week’s Aspen, so it is new and fresh. The chenille is also a great finishing touch. Charts are $12.00.  I am hoping you are feeling the JOY!

“Spring Green Fling” Quilt top.

More to come:

Now it’s time to give you some new spring quilt eye candy to think about over the weekend.

Mary’s new “Spring Green Fling” is a great small  project, really swell for sure.  It is measuring 32″ x 32″.  Our kit is packaged complete with the backing and binding for $52.00.  You will need the pattern for $9.00 to complete.  The great focal fabric that brings this beauty life is from my Riverbanks fabric line.  Of course don’t miss out on the best little spring bunny pillow called “Imagine . Dream . Believe”.

“True Blue 321/2 x 32 1/2 from Kim Diehl’s Simple Whatnots book

Our next adorable small is  a new topper that our Barb has done from Kim Diehl’s Simple Whatnots book called “True Blue”.   The kit includes the backing for $36.50.  and if you need the book it retails for $29.99.

We are thrilled that Blue is the relevant color again this year, it is coming in strong from many of the designers and we welcome it back.  You will see lots more blue quilts surfacing as we go forward into the year.

“Coffee House”is another light bulb quilt idea Barb came up with because we 133 girls are all coffee lovers being it hot or iced.   Coincidently we happened on this brilliant  line of fabric and were convinced that this shop could offer an amazing Coffee House quilt.  Its rich and smooth and just calls out to you to wrap up with a great read or favorite movie.  We measure out at 53″ x 71″, our kit is $91.00 and you will need to order the pattern separately and it is $9.00.  The palette is easy to work with in neutrals, greys and rich tans.

You will also notice in this picture Plum Street’s “Blackbird Fraktur” Sampler.  The colors are so complimentary and make a great companion piece.

Samplers were so amazing and abundant this market and knowing that I love them so much you know we have picked up several.
