When I think of heirloom I think of lasting, classic, and passing the test of time. I truly believe this collection falls into that category. It is almost like choosing a neutral color when decorating your space, you never tire of it and everything you place in that space is pleasing. I am always trying to think out of the box with my collections. This one is no different. I think as quilters we don’t always see the beauty of using fabric you have quilted to upholster a chair or bench cushion.
I am also doing some wonderful tablescapes. Your table is a family gathering place that deserves everyone’s attention. The neutrality of a fabric sku or a signature from the collection can lend itself to a classic heirloom table setting. By adding coordinating napkins, a topper, runner or placemats quilted just enough also elevates the outcome.
Dressing your bed with a duvet cover, layering a pieced quilt, or a whole cloth accented with quilted shams, a lumbar pillow, a Euro or just a collection of different pillows that coordinate can make the difference.
We all love bags that are pieced in some way or another, it is just the nature of us girls and we own it.
